A Letter to Hurting Writers
When I think about all the times I wanted to die
When I think about all the times the world crushed me under its unbearable weight
When I think about all those moments when you made me feel small, weak, and menial
I grab a pen
And allow the pain, the hurt, the sorrow to color the words I write
They are vivid colors
Purples, blues, violets, indigos, reds, and blacks
My masterpiece is forever linked to me
The emotions i poured through my fingertips to the pasty, smooth paper
My grief transfers from me to the object
And the burden is lifted of my chest
For those who have hurt me,
Thank You
If life was beautiful what could i possibly write about?
