Through the Eyes of a Dragob
Through the eyes of a dragon
The glistening of slimy cavern walls,
The aching in my wings due to lack of flying,
Wisps of smoke waft past my nostrils all that is left of a once inextinguishable flame,
I don’t quite know who’s to blame.
What happened to leave us so famished?
What has left our race so damaged?
We had to flee in a manic spree,
As our forests become a thing of the past,
They got replaced by skyscrapers made of glass.
Our magic is dying, I feel my heart crying,
I lay inches from death's door, Wishing I could’ve done more
I inhale and expand my wings one last time, If I die I will die looking at the sky
The mouth of the cavern opens, showing me the beautiful clouds,
I heave myself down, how far I’ve flown but I will leave this earth unknown,
As the suns sets, I release my held in breath, nothing will be left.
I close my eyes and feel nothing in the least.
Behold the death of the ferocious beast.
