A trip to the beach
When I was a kid was what I looked forward to all year 
Cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents all tagged along
We rose early in the morning and started our day
The smell of homemade pancakes filled the beach house
We biked to the beach in the hot Summer weather
Wading in the water was always my favorite
I stayed in the water for hours
Sunrise to sundown,
Every minute was spent outdoors
We took a nap in the middle of the day listening to the waves crash
At night we would head back to the house
We all helped make dinner and set the table
Although we do not go with all of my family anymore,
My favorite memories of the beach will forever be with me.
