Blocking out the light
I watch as a prehistoric creature devours his meal,
in a cool dark place, I watch as bones appear piece by piece.
Finishing it’s meal, it walks over to me.
It’s head hangs over, creating a shadow..
Fear hits me like the crack of thunder,
the atmosphere booms again from an asteroid,
while it blocks out the sun, the asteroid getting closer to impact.
Then another loud crack came from the distance,
But it was only the fireworks outside from a parade.
