I Am A Tree
I Am a Tree.
I was stable, you were not.
Always moved-never stopped.
I grew here, you traveled there,
never staying permanently.
As I stay, and as you leave-
I’ll never be able to let go.
You hit me deep within my roots,
and left me wounds that cannot be fathomed.
People say that “time heals.”
For you a car,
but not for me,
a Tree.
You will fixate,
and I will crumble.
Leaving damage-
Within a rumble.
