Where I'm From
I’m from a chipped paint house in the middle of a wooded neighborhood,
alone and secluded.
My attributes from Mom’s lessons, Dad’s advice, and Grandpa’s wisdom.
I’m from a loving family, both on Mom & Dad’s side, my personality is shaped by them.
I’m from friends, cracking jokes; laughter gets me through the day, making regrettable decisions like crafting a campfire on train tracks, but I’ll keep that memory till death.
I'm from Mom running into my room with tears flowing out her eyes trying to scramble words together to tell me what happened. Dad on the porch wounded from falling from roof. I realized life is as fragile as a glass.
I’m from my mistakes in school, work, and girl and guy relationships. From being a good student and achieving awards in sports, also learning new things I can use in life and teach my kids one day.
I’m from living my own life not pretending to be others, just trying to live good; stress free.
