Discerning the Priesthood
Wait, What?
How could this be?
All of the sudden, it seems as
I am living like a seminarian
Soon to realize, things don’t
lead to eternal happiness.
There is only one source of
eternal happiness,
Jesus.
So, here I am
Going to the seminary, meeting with the vocations director, Father Luke
Wojtyla day, ordination, hanging out with other discerning guys like me
meeting with priests, getting to know what their life is like, learning so much
involvement with the church, through mission trips and lay ministry
leading small groups, at the youth religious ed programs.
From a boy who had
materialistic dreams
Who wanted to get rich
Live on a lake
Drive a Lamborghini
Wear nice clothes
Go on exotic vacations
Own a plane
Have a yacht
As a kid, being a priest
was the last thing I
wanted to do
From what I thought
was impossible,
To what now is a
part of my life,
A serious discernment.
