A day at the paddy frield
Sun shine kissing the rice plants, casting
a golden shade as they danced with the wind.
Wearing beads of rice, that sparkle
like gems. No mystery why
I never looked away.
From top of the massive hay stacks,
we watch as the crops are harvested.
The hay fortress we made
collapses on top of us, barring everyone
under the itchy hay.
Parrots chirping through the field,
feasting on the seasonal banquet.
Catching one never gets easy,
they always fly away, inviting us
for a game of tag;
It was a priceless day to remember...
The playful memories of childhood.
