Fall
Fog blankets the ground
A patter on the window
Leaves collect moisture
Crunching under feet
An array of colored leaves
Wind kisses my cheek
Tousling my hair
A chill shudders through my spine
Currents of air roar
Water drips over
A shiny glaze coats the stones
Grass dotted with dew

To whom it may concern,
For the next issue of Teen Ink, I plan to submit three haikus about fall and the weather during the season. I have always loved drizzly weather and my parents joke about how I am at my happiest when it is gloomy outside.
I am currently taking Creative Writing and I have taken Honors History, which was largely focused on writing analytical essays. Though I am just beginning my work in creative writing and poetry, I look forward to continuing my experimentation with different forms. In addition to writing, I am passionate about art. I take an Advanced Art class at school and I spend my free time painting, drawing, and working with clay.
