Last written work:
(And how beautifully written)
A suicide note.

The author's comments:
I am always shocked and saddened by how many of my favorite writers killed themselves. Even worse, many great literary geniuses struggled with mental illness. It is a terrible tragedy. I wrote this particular poem as a tribute to Virginia Woolf. I may not agree with everything she says, but she was truly a great writer. Go to Wikipedia and read her suicide letter. It is one of the most beautifully sad things in the world. Even as she could no longer face living, she took the time to craft a beautiful piece of prose. :(

This is beautifully written. The feeling of sadness intermingled with subtle regret give the poem an ambiance of sympathy and wanting to understand what would drive a person to suicide. I haven't read much of Woolfe, but the little that I have read, I can honestly say it's beautiful. This poem does deserve the Editors' Choice (which you aren't a stranger of); 5 stars from me.
