Untraditional Haikus in the Average Day
1
Today I woke up
With light shining in my eyes
School is calling me
2
I hop in my car
The speakers are very loud
Cruising down the road
3
I am sitting here
In this quite boring classroom
Wishing I was not
4
The teacher goes on
Lecturing about nonsense
Sleep is calling me
5
Lunch time has arrived
This sandwich tastes like rubber
The food here is gross
6
The last bell just rang
I walk out the classroom door
Feeling the cool breeze
7
The waves are giant
Today I will paddle out
And catch some good ones
8
The water is cold
But that is not stopping me
I ride the waves ‘til dusk
9
Finally I am home
With a shower awaiting
The water soothes me
10
Now I lay in bed
Under a toasty blanket
Pondering my day
11
Today was not strange
No different from the rest
But that is alright
