I Wont Change
Sometimes I sit back and realize
It was always you who made me cry
Sometimes what you say
Comes out in so many different ways
Nothing I do or say is right
I’m getting sick and tired of all the fights
All the stress and bulls***
Makes me feel like I’m going farther down into this bottomless pit
I know not everything is your fault
But trust me, I grew up and you still have a lot to figure out
I know it’s a crazy train ride
But you always have the choice to move on and step aside
My life will never change
My personality will always be the same
You can’t break me down until you get what you want
Because I will never let someone make me what I’m not
No one can change me
I am who I am and that’s all I will ever be
I’m sorry I can’t give you more
Maybe I’m not who you’re looking for
I’m sorry I’m not good enough for you
Maybe the next time I hear the words “I love you” they will be true
