You jab me with that fork at hand
Preparing to devour me whole
Youve already taken all of my peers
The turkey, potatoes, and roll
My life shown before me at quickening pace
My glory days growing in the ground
But my life on this plate has been much more grand
Id really enjoy sticking around
So I beseech thee now most fervently
As hopeful as a carrot can be
Retire that fork and let me live
Oh please dont devour me!
