Lord, You are my Comfort
When the night is gloomy
And frost on the window creeps
When the moon shines no radiance
A promise close I keep
When it seems too dark
To ever find home my way
Through the bickering winds
One place I choose to stay
Lord, You are my comfort
When the world is crashing around me
When the rain pours down
When my eyes fail to see
Lord You are my comfort
The only thing remaining constant through life
No matter the depth of the valley
Or the mountain’s perilous height
When it seems like all hope is surely lost
I turn to You, My Lord, and live
When it feels like
I’ve got far too much to do
Like I’ll never reach my goal
That my dreams won’t come true
I just trust Your timing
I empty out my heart
Of all the worry inside
And watch as the seas You part
Lord, You are my comfort
My Savior, my Friend
When my yoke is too heavy to bear
You draw me in
When it feels like there’s nothing left I can do
I can turn to You, Lord, I turn to You
Every time I wait on You
And follow Your commands
You give me more than I ever dream
You feed me by Your hand
Then when I do stray away
And fail to hear Your voice
You take me from the darkness
Bringing me to fuller light
Lord, You are my comfort
Without You, what could I do?
Lord, You are my everything
And I give all my life to You
To you, to you…
I give all I am to You.
