Conflicted, resisted
Her whole life
She missed it
She lays there and weeps
As the pain just persisted.
How could she live
With the pain that she felt
The pain and abuse
She just wanted to melt.
A year past the pain
She stands on her own
Two kids, a dog, and a husband
At home.
She’s past the pain
Her dad had afflicted
And now she lives
A life
With no contradiction.
