The Meaning of War
What is war?
Is it the soldiers that go out in the night,
creeping and fighting with all their might?
The battles for land, peace, or unity
to save a people, a place, or a community?
Or is it internal? A struggle to save your life
from illnesses that threaten your days so rife?
The battles with your own self for your existence
to continue to see the world, to learn, and to love?
Or is it simply a trivial clash between siblings?
The battles to prove who’s right and who’s wrong
for bragging rights before the opportunity is gone?
With enough forms to cause an uproar,
how does one define war?
