Open Mind
Lives in shadows with an open mind
Ready to repeat anything that needs to be tried.
Sitting in the corner watching people come and go
Thinking about all the things she never knew she knows.
Many try to decipher her.
Many try to make her out.
Many try to get under her shell.
But none succeed.
She’s just another hopeless fantasy.
She laughs too loud but tries not to be heard.
She quietly slips away from here.
She finds an alcove in the grass
And cries until the feelings pass.
When others speak out, she crouches in.
She watches us, she is hard to forgive.
She speaks the truth, but her goodness is overseen.
She tries to be different, but her intentions are clean.
No one can crack this mystery.
She’s just another hopeless fantasy.
