Favorite Quote:
every thing about me

Red, for a hat
Sky blue and baby blue, for a sweeter
Navy blue and crazy patterns, for pants
Black, for your beautiful hair
Dark brown, for your eyes
Tan, for your skin color on the golden after noon.

You have the hint of a smile on your face, my darling little sister
Why do you smile? Darling little sister

Tell me of your days on the golden afternoon
Of your happy day in the sun,

Was the day chilly?
Or was the day bright as the smile you have on your face?

Were the birds singing on that day?
Or did you hear the sigh of the wind whispering softly in your ear?

You have the hint of a smile on your face, my darling little sister
Why do you smile? Darling little sister

White, for the background
And faded black wood
Gray, for the gravel under your feet
Golden, for your little cross
A small green weed
Knots, scarring the wood.

The author's comments:
I love my little sister so much that I went and looked at my old pictures and found a couple of her. But there was one that I like the most and that is why I wrote this poem.
