Dust Bunnies
gray eyes
on a gray back porch swing
it holds more love for me than you ever will
next to tomorrow but after today
the neighborhood family yells and hammers the walls
that’ll never be good for anything
good thing the clouds don’t cry with me
that storm would be the drowning of the world

 prince charming
he’s not getting here any time soon
 cause a prince don’t exist
to a lonely black cat in the corner
only dust bunnies find me there

 yesterday holds bittersweet oranges
that you can open without a knife
 but that’s all dead gone
 and you’ll never find
that it’s the same way with your life now
if you take the extra effort to hold onto the rope
it’ll turn around and the who-knows-who-it-is on the other end
 will kindly drop you
 again

 prince charming
he’s not getting here any time soon
 cause a prince don’t exist
to a lonely black cat in the corner
only dust bunnies find me here

 only dust bunnies
no one else finds me here
