Please momma don’t cry.
Just can’t bear it tonight.
I don’t want leave your side.
You know together we could fly.
So Please momma don’t cry.

I love the things that you.
Always find the time to do.
Don’t always have the words to say,
I’ll always love you either way.

You hold with those eyes.
And your touch restores my life.
So please momma don’t cry,
Cause I need you by my side.

Please momma don’t cry.
Please momma don’t cry.
I can’t figure out why,
It falls to you to save my life.

I will always be your son.
And of my doubts, I have none.
You’re the basis for my life.
Not gonna ever let you cry.

Please momma don’t cry.
Please momma don’t cry.
I’ll be forever at your side.
Ain’t never gonna let you cry.

My mother wrote a beautiful poem to us kids for her 50th birthday, and by the end, she was in tears. Momma, just know that I'm always going to be here for you, which I hope I reflected in this song.
