Waiting on the Rim
Young boy, nose in a book,
 I don't wonder your name
Or whether or not your happy or drowning in your pain
 I never thought to ask
 "Hey kid what's your story?"
But I guess even if I did it would only make me sorry

Cause I've known a thousand more like him
Cast out and just waiting on the rim
 To find out
Why the world forgot about them
Oooh why the world forgot about us

Older kid, arms crossed to guard him,
He looks by to find the lies in my eyes
Cause the world is too real and all his thoughts seem to be to wrong

Cause I've known a thousand more like him
Cast out and just waiting on the rim
 To find out
Why the world forgot about them
Oooh why the world forgot about us

Society's seen his innocence so now it's gone
His only choice now is to hide or to run
All his distrust born though guilt leads to shame
He doesn't see it when they say it's just a game

Cause I've known a thousand more like him
Cast out and just waiting on the rim
 To find out
Why the world forgot about them
Oooh why the world forgot about us
