I write these lies
So I can portray sanity
To pretend I’m okay
To have a sense of amity

But I'm not okay
I cant pretend anymore
The scars are multiplying
To way more than there were before

People are starting to notice
My feelings are becoming harder to hide
My moods are harder to control
And sometimes I don’t even want try

My highs are too high
My lows are too low
It’s getting too hard to handle
But I don’t want anyone to know

I know it’s not safe
To keep these thoughts hidden
But I can’t tell anyone
Because these thoughts are forbidden
