A Broken Heart Beat
I wake up in the morning and picture you next to me
Getting lost in your daydream eyes
As my mind starts to wake up, you flee
Waiting for you to realize that you’re the one making me rise
Every time you look at me my heart would race
Your smile sends shivers up my spine
You make me feel as if I'm in outer space
Why can’t you just be mine?
I loved you the minute I saw you
Wondering how someone like you could ever affect my heart
The more we talked, the more my feelings grew
But there’s always something keeping us apart.
The clock struck midnight, it’s a new day
I’m sorry to do this but we’re not meant to stay.
