Pandemic Moods

Shall I compare thee boredom to dark skies?

Yet clouds have silver lining, boredom stays

It is there when the world resumes its cries.

No matter what happens, the mood still grays

Sometimes, too long the heavy rain will fall

It will become overrun with large dark clouds

And often it would wait for any call

While sitting there, longing for any crowds

But when the cloudy skies become more clear

The flowers appear as the lock clicks free

The sounds of talk fill the air with more cheer

As the land outside the house swells with glee

So long as family is near and close

So long the first bloom continues, the rose

This poem represents the mood as people emerged from the pandemic. It was dark and reflective initially but later became more optimistic as the lockdown ended.
