A Moment Of Prayer
The stage is empty, silence is screaming.
 Anxiety and anticipation
fill my mind, my soul, my body, seeming
to rise in me an eerie sensation.
The lights go up and the music begins.
I take my place and position on stage
as I twirl, and leap, and jump, and I spin.
I dance with passion, with my heart engaged.
In this moment, I do not think or see,
I just do. The crowd disappears in my
mind – this is between the dancers, God, me.
This is the moment when life feels so right.
The lights go down, I am still standing there.
I just worshipped God through my type of prayer.
