Natural Metaphor
You are the fire that keeps me warm at night
The everlasting flame that makes me strong
You're the scarlet light that lights up my life
The element, the bright florescent song.
You are the water that will hydrate me.
The hydrogen and oxygen I need.
Your endless boundaries keep my mind clean
The clear refreshment to help me begin.
You are the Earth that I am standing on.
The solid natural beauty I love.
You're still pure, even with the pollution
The proof there's something beautiful above.
I may have described you as just three things,
But to me, you're the joy God always brings.
