~Free~
As rain falls all around,
I find myself in an unfamiliar place,
Not knowing where I’m bound,
Just knowing I’ll find you in that space.
You are the hope that will set me,
Free from the monsters of my past,
Free to let me be who I may be,
Free to become me at last.
But that journey to you is a dangerous one,
Filled with many twists and turns,
Never really knowing what I’ve done,
Just feeling the pain of my own burns.
And even if you don’t set me free,
I know death’s doom will let me be.
