Lucid eyes pierce through me like ice crystals.
Not a glare, but a soft ponderous stare.
Your beauty hit; a shot from ten pistols,
no, not painf’lly but rather like a dare.
A dare to be different—away from
the “in crowd” that is going with the flow.
That’s the way you always are. No not some,
but all the time. All the time, too, you glow.
Like a flashlight shining in the darkness.
Golden strands linger close to your shoulders.
Always so meek, so mild, never pompous.
Never are you a sharp jagged boulder.
Great as the oceans is my love for you.
It’s really too bad, you don’t love me too.
