Jesus' Death Walk
Life is Jesus’ death walk to the cross
An observer would view this act as cruel
If only they knew He died for our loss
Living by God’s sacred book of dear rules
Our walk is not about the finish line
Our journey is not based on successes
Our walk is the times we are in a bind
Our journey is based on our life’s messes
Life is grieving over what is now lost
Yet striving for Heaven’s eternal grace
Realizing actions will come with a cost
And changing our actions to see God’s face
Life is experiencing love within
With the comfort of being born again
