The star filled sky is gleaming
The twinkling lights
To all, are seeming
To shine through all the nights

They disappear in the day
Making you wish they'd come back
But you are sure in every way
That a way to return they do not lack

The stars are trusted
To return to the sky
And not to come all rusted
To say to me: goodbye

As I drift off into the deep
Overpowering and dreamless sleep
