The Friend Zone

I am stuck in a vicious cycle here
Where there is no end to this painful trend
I wish I could say that the end was near
Oh how I wish there was a loving end
But not for me, for I am not yet free
I can't get over how much I love her
I hope she finds her true feelings for me
I am her friend yet I yearn for her lure
I wait for the look of love from her eyes
But every gaze I give is rejected
From the degrading and disturbing lies
If my love is machine it's defective
But all is alright here in the friend zone
For I help her when she feels all alone
