Favorite Quote:
Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.<br /> by Buddha

A rose beyond the garden's end
The soil beneath made fertile and strong
To which the sun and rain did send
As it prospered through Nature's song

A rose whose beauty denies lust and sin
A true spirit of hope, pure and unworn
Whose pedals encase the purity within
Enduring itself with abundance of thorns

A rose in blossom a miracle divine
The stem that binds the bud to the earth
In which the life retains the vine
From the roots that held since birth

A simple rose upon the ground
A life of subtlety without movement or sound

The author's comments:
Roses are among my favorite flowers. It's amazing to see how something so beautiful can be so painful to hold. I believe roses have thorns on them because they were not meant to be taken out of the ground. Unlike humans in our misery, roses don't have the burdens of sin and failure. They live freely
