Two Seconds
A special moment comes unknowingly
 The person who is gone doesn’t come to mind
 We tend to everything subconsciously;
 I look around, not sure what I will find
 The corner of my eye I see by chance
 A step from me she stands: hope soaring high
 A small dream-clouded vision of a glance
 Reality returns with a low sigh
 The shadow was not her, the shock did seethe
 An underwater dream did bubble up
 Try gasping for air when you can hardly breathe
 It only takes two seconds to tear up
 Deep down I know I won’t see her again
 That said, my eyes still search for her brown mane
