"Game, naps, snacks, and lots of knowledge," you said
"you will make lots of new friends," you added
So, with these thoughts I gladly went to bed.
Soon those aspirations will be shattered.
When it came to the games they were not fun,
the naps were short, and the snacks too healthy
most of the time they ordered us to run
saying, "My boy, look at your big belly."
One, two, three and A,B, and C they cried
and on the occasion that we did well
a shiny yellow star became our pride
in the end we only longed for the bell.
I headed back home with red puffy eyes
hoping to confront you about your lies.
