Sonnet 926 (Stars)
There is a word that I fear, more than most
It make this more real, than it should be.
Now I can see, you just might be a ghost,
Ghost of the feelings I still have for thee.
Oh, the life I thought I once had is gone
It not ever was mine, but I thought it was.
Now, It slips through our cold fingers anon.
Substance to heal our iced hearts, but none does.
You thought I saw not the future, now dimmed
But I foresaw our non-existing years
Our somewhat endless time has now been trimmed.
Not even hot choc’late can stop the tears.
And now I ask but one favor of thee,
No matter what happens, don’t forget me. . .
