The Difficulties of Writing
Sitting all alone, but I’m okay with that
Can’t wear headphones, have to play it out loud
Need more words, more pages, and to move my cat
It’s crazy; sometimes even one’s a crowd
Where am I going? How do I get there?
Spell check’s turned off, because it drives me nuts
Deadlines, no time, I need to get somewhere
Hard work is a must, no ifs, ands, or buts
Characters won’t behave, the plot won’t move
Names are hard but last names are worse
Writer’s block stinks, have to get in the groove
It’s like being alive in the back of a hearse
So if you want to become a writer
Make sure you are a fantastic fighter
