A young girl with hair as black as midnight
Leaning over a black, battered notebook,
Her pencil moving frantically over
The white paper that will bring her passion
For all things of the finely written word,
Be it in fashion or out of fashion,
Be it great fiction or good nonfiction,
Her own never satisfied addiction.
