One philosopher, set agast- then leered

"My fellow men, sans passion, sans desire!

Good think, with all the monsters we have feared

Yet was it not fury that fueled the fire?

It begins, as all things past have done well

Turning quick to tragic wanton lust

Socialist policy lacks former sale

Dwindles your faithful followers trust."

"Does any man present deny this?"

So  then questioned a shrill voice from the back.

"This widower's urge long since amiss

If anything, passion I do lack."

So they nodded, then quite agreed

It just depends on the wolf you feed.

Originally part of an assignment for my lit class, I really liked it. So I decided to publish it.
