As the Dark Appears

Clouds appear as the sun tucks away
Darkness surrounds the atmospheric hush
Ears are overwhelmed with a booming crush
The serienty once found is now a fearful dismay
Crashing lights fill up the sky with a fiery display
The ground is met with a flooding gush
Everything once found is cloaked by a scarring flush
The rain settles back inside its puddled home
Silence overcomes yet again
Those destroyed will see light as it comes
Or be sent on an eternal roam
With anxious watches for the thunderous reign
Until then the sun will sing a cheery hum
