and i hate it when you’re mad
(at me) because what (else) could be
so incessantly, endlessly bad
that you can’t articulate to me

and i hate it when i’m mad
(at me) because you tell me not
to be. and I’m stuck (a tad)
between hues of reds and blues. Rot-

ten to the core, i’m purple for
you. Clocks run fast, (you know) I run
slow. Screaming, running i need more
to impede you, to (maybe even) stun

let me scream and cry and call
i’ll (always) be there after all
