My Pride
Love is not skin on skin.
Love is not innocence or sin.
Love is smiles, bright eyes,
songs, dances, midnight sighs,
not gender, appearance.
It's rhythm in your chest.
Love pulls the air from you.
It's purple, pink, and blue.
Under a rainbow sky,
it doesn't hurt to be bi.
I won't be chained above
my boundless will to love.
This was never a choice.
I won't stifle my voice.
It's not a coat I wear,
it's woven in me and cannot tear.
I can't change, I won't try.
I am who I am. Bi.
