The Ocean
The ocean waves pound against the rock shore,
coughing up kelp and shells with much anger.
Glass and stones choose to blanket the sea floor.
Seems pretty, don’t forget the danger.
The ocean will not give mercy, don’t try.
Currents curve like snakes, poison controls all.
Watch your head, seagulls poop as they fly high.
The critters in the cracks are kind of small,
watch your toes, crabs want to give you a bite.
Elements are demons, the cold sea wind,
and the blazing sun fills your skin with fright.
The ocean’s powerful cycle won’t end.
But the ocean’s endless beauty fills eyes.
She is beautiful from rocks to blue skies.
