My Volunteer Placement
My volunteer placement
upward bound student
For two days during the summer I went to Crayons to Cradles, located in Newtonville, MA. With my teammates. On the first day we were making outfit packs, creating about 4 outfits and packs for the kids. On the second day, we were all packing clothes in bags and also putting bins into shelves.
Crayons to cradles is a non-profit organization that provides supplies for kids. They gather donations like clothes, shoes, hygiene products, and school supplies to give out to kids.
The experience I had with it was very good and the staff did an excellent job at explaining what to do and also helping us. I am planning to keep volunteering there, for my community service. But the thing is that it is really far away from my home.
