Late night on a weekend, my parents and I went to dinner, an unfamiliar place. The name of the restaurant was Beach House Bistro. It is a small rectangular building right off the Pewaukee beach. The restaurant is no bigger than the classroom I am in right now. There was cramped space, everyone almost sat shoulder to shoulder due to the kitchen being the main part of the area. but the restaurant felt welcoming with perfect decorations for the location by the beach. There were about only 5-6 tables that I saw and a hightop closest to the cooks, that's where we sat. I felt as if I was in a can of sardines. There was barely any room compared to the restaurants I've been in, but it won't bother me.

I opened the menu and the first thing I saw was a label called small plates. This restaurant is made to order a few things at a time and you can share with the people at your table to give variety. I viewed the menu and a dish caught my eye, Chimichurri Sirloin. I know what I want, I ordered the chimichurri sirloin and I waited. I see the waitress with my meal and there it is.

I see a steak that is sliced and cooked to a perfect medium and is topped with bright chimichurri. This steak is shining and it is sitting on a bed of sauteed spinach that is on top of white beans and sauteed red peppers. I thought this could be the best steak I've ever had. I take my knife with my right hand and my fork with my left and cut. This is the softest steak I've ever cut into. I take every component I can put it on my fork and take a bite. I taste the fresh chimichurri on the steak, and it makes me feel as if it is summer, then I taste the spinach, white beans, and red peppers, and the flavors sing when they hit my tongue. I taste the bright flavors of lemon and the rich flavors of the steak. I was hooked, and in the next 10 minutes, I proceeded to devour everything on that plate. All I was left with was a Bright white oval plate. The saddest part of that meal was the clank, clink from my fork and knife hitting the empty plate. This was the best steak I've ever had.
