I'm sorry that
I feel your pain.
Leaving and feeling free. Not wanting to come back.
Even when they say they’re proud.
The next day, they tell you how worthless you are.
You pretend that everything is okay.
On the outside you’re joking but the inside is shattered.
Unimpressed with us, when we wholeheartedly listened.
Don’t want to fix it, they just want to make it worse.
Offering to give all our time but not getting it in return.
We keep wishing for a normal relationship with them.
Never going to change no matter how hard we try.

In this piece I'm relating to NF and his song Let you down about his father. My father and I do not have a good relationship and when I first heard NF's song it helped me alot and understand that I'm not alone. That is why I wrote to him saying I understand his pain.
