Currently so far in my book I am really enjoying it and believe it to be a recommended book to read. 

The book is set in the 1950s so the wording is a little different which could make it hard for young readers to understand. This book is also based on football which would make it interesting to lots of people who like the sport or who just like sports in general.

The book takes place in Braddock, Pennsylvania where The football team in this book is looking to have their 6th undefeated season in a row. And a bunch of workers went on strike and with no money, they came to hopes of their hometown football team. With this they will bet on the team in hopes that it will get them out of their working environment. This book is actually based on one of America's biggest labor stoppages in history. The 4,843 work stoppages recorded in 1950 exceeded by a third the 3,606 counted in 1949. This was in marked contrast to the relatively even and substantially lower strike levels of the postwar years after 1946 when the all-time high of 4,985 strikes was recorded

This team was very talented and was looking for their 6th undefeated season and so were all the steel workers because they bet their last dollars on this team in hopes of them winning and getting out of the steel mills. They did in fact win their 6th season undefeated and this book not only portrays the football team but also a small American town during the hardest times of its people.
