So Schindler changes the names and working status of hundreds of Jews so the German army will spare their lives for their war efforts. In one instance, Schindler and Ithsak Stern, a Jewish accountant, create fake resum"s for them to show their eligibility to work in Schindler's factory as metal pressers. Throughout the book, Schindler chooses Jews fit to work in his factory. However, he begins to buy Jews from Herr Commandant Amon Goethe, the dictator of Jews in that area, when he realizes the devastation of the Holocaust. After the war, Schindler must make a crucial decision; the key to unlock his imprisonment or the key to lock up his existence.

Man's ignorance to society's norms provokes controversy over how one could steal the life of another with no more than a shudder.
