The Tent is about a father and son living in poverty. Corey, the father, is 34 years old, working two jobs but can’t pay the rent. Steven is 14 years old. They live in a 10 year-old rented trailer. They don’t like living there and they are tired of being poor. Corey remembers before he found Steven’s mom and had a friend who was going to have a tent and talk about God. His friend sent a picture of himself as rich with a new car and nice clothing. Steven thought his dad was crazy because they never talked about God. Now you’re going to have to see if Corey and Steven made it out of poverty or not.
To me it was a very good book. I don’t like reading and it’s the first book I actually got interested in. I would recommend it to be a class book. It was messed up in the middle but it was good at the end. It always made me think about what was going to happen next but I was always wrong; I never expected it. That’s why I picked this book to talk and tell others about.
