The Christopher Killer
The Christopher Killer by Alane Ferguson is very entertaining. It is a forensic mystery and is not for all people. An outcast teenager, Cameryn gets a job with her father as the coroner's assistant. Because Cameryn lives in a small town in Colorado, she never expects to actually have to deal with a murder, but soon she and her father report to the scene of a very strange murder, the victim is one of Cameryn's friends. As Cameryn listens to what the evidence is telling her and also grieves the loss of her friend, she finds herself in a whirlwind of emotions and decisions. People who like mysteries or are thinking about becoming a CSI will love this book, besides being mysterious; it blends the factual in forensic information well. I liked that the information in this book concerning forensics is accurate. Some flaws that I didn't have a problem with, but some might, are the scenes described in the book cutting up the body in the autopsy room. If you like a realistic story, The Christopher Killer is for you.
