The Wolverine is one of the better X-Men movies and focuses around Wolverine, as the name suggests, and continues his solo adventures as one of the most fierce mutants in the whole world. After saving a Japanese man, who would later become a wealthy success, during the second World War, this same man requests Wolverine to return to Japan to thank him in present-day. After making the trip seem worthwhile, Wolverine finds himself coming back to a country that he hasn't seen since during the second World War as a century-old mutant with more than enough experience. However, while in Japan, he receives mysterious and devious vibes from what's truly going on there, and it seems like something bigger is going on when he's unfortunately led to a realm of shady samurai and yakuza, who are Japanese mobsters. As Wolverine essentially embarks on a journey that involves him going to war against an entire army, just to protect an extremely wealthy industrialist's daughter who's in danger, Wolverine finds himself being challenged to his very limit, both emotionally and physically. To make matters worse, betrayal looms large, and before Wolverine can truly consider what's going on, he finds himself losing his regeneration factor, meaning that for the first time in a long time, Wolverine must deal with the prospect of actually dying. As Wolverine begins to question whether or not dying would be better, seeing as he's lived a longer life than just about any other human, he must struggle to find the hero within himself that he feels as though he has lost. As Wolverine searches to find who he really is as a person, he must deal with incredibly powerful foes and some haunting memories of his past to deal with a confrontation that might be his deadliest yet. 
 

The Wolverine proves to be an action-packed adventure that has mystery, romance and Japanese culture galore. This movie has a unique setting that works to the roller coaster's advantage, and because Wolverine is being haunted by his past demons, it is very fitting that he must return to a place filled with these said demons. Additionally, seeing as Wolverine is one of the more violent mutants out there, due to how his powers basically involve him slashing things, it shouldn't be that big of a surprise that the movie is packed to the brim with fight scenes. However, what is surprising is how well-executed these fights are. Wolverine might very well be showcased at his finest, and due to some noteworthy visuals, all of his metal claws are brought to life and it becomes quite apparent how deadly they really are. 

 The Wolverine benefits from possessing a thought through plot that is well done, clever and includes plenty of thrilling twists and turns. Due to how these surprises are genuinely shocking, the mystery behind the movie is able to be layered and possesses several different depths to become an intriguing mystery that slowly unravels as more information is added. The mysteriousness behind the movie allows the movie to become substantially more interesting, because it adds far more meaning to all of the fight scenes, which might have felt excessive otherwise, and it also allows viewers to not truly know what's going to happen next. 
 

The Wolverine is enjoyed by both viewers and critics alike. Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie a high 71%, which is a fairly high score for a superhero movie, and an outstanding 92% of Google users liked the movie, solidifying the concept that a wide variety of audiences liked the movie and that this movie should be seen by just about anyone and everyone. 

 The Wolverine has majestic visuals, an adventurous plot and a captivating story that deserves to be seen. Aided by a wonderful performance by Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, this movie has just about it all, including meaningful characters, and this movie is capable of destroying Wolverine and then taking him back to his roots as a character. With Wolverine it seems that the less ingredients, the better and this is made apparent by this movie's great success. Not only will this movie surpass any and all expectations with its natural charm, but this movie is also the best solo Wolverine movie to date. Because this is all combined with how the movie will transcend how audiences view Wolverine as a character, this is definitely a must-see in every sense.
